First Ever Mother Board Repair/Resurrection

Yesterday i created a new rig, by combining remnants of a defective pc..an acer aspire pc died, it turned out the motherboard can no longer be saved, because it has too many bloated (bulging) capacitors, a forum inform me that 5+ bloated capacitor in a board is no longer a viable candidate for resurrection, so i took the parts that are still working fine (processor, memory and hard disk and the psu and locate my old emaxx board.

i had an emaxx board that went died also last month with one bloated capacitor near the ram slot. after observing the capacitors (its specification..cf, watts etc..) i notice that the cap is the same in specification on my dead asus video card..after researching more, i know i have a big chance of restoring this board and pair it with the remaining parts of the acer rig..

my buddy JR volunteered to do the soldering (next time i will do this, as i yet to experience it)..hehe

i had to jump start the mobo (without a casing; first time also) and it booted up!! yeah!!haha

but the temperature was too high that the system automatically shuts off..

i had to purchase a cheap hsf to check if the mobo would be stable, and last night bebeh was able to install all needed software to make the new rig work, and no single restart ever occured so i guess my emaxx is back!
